Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 25º and 27º, with a maceration of 15 days, malolactic fermentation in barrels followed by aging in the same barrels. 6 months of aging in French and American oak barrels.

Attractive garnet red color with a bright purple rim. A complex aroma with ripe fruit and spicy notes from barrel aging (clove, vanilla, coconut), along with balsamic hints. On the palate, it is elegant, balanced, and has a very pleasant finish. Pairs well with red meats and game, both grilled and stewed. Also complements aged cheeses and robustly flavored cured meats. Recommended serving temperature: 16-18°C

All the processes involved in making Bodegas Zapata wines are 100% artisanal, from bush vine training to gentle pruning, from hand-harvesting to the manual punch-down during fermentation. Furthermore, for aging their most exclusive wines, they use new French oak barrels. Each bottle from Bodegas Zapata reflects the unique identity and terroir of the Ribera del Duero, with intense aromas, an elegant structure, and a complexity of flavors that evolves over time, offering an unparalleled sensory experience. Historic vineyards, over 50 years old, are located in the municipality of La Horra at an altitude of 857 meters.
