Viticulture and production
In open stainless steel tanks. Cold maceration for 2-4 days and fermentation for 15-20 days with daily punch-downs and minimal pump-overs. Partial malolactic fermentation in used barrels. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting and pairing
This is a wild, dense, concentrated wine, with floral intensity, wild herbs, notes of violet and incense, and the freshness of a grape grown at almost 800 meters altitude.

Additional information
Sandy soil. From a vineyard that has witnessed three centuries, something unique is always expected. Such is Barranco del Prado, with its pre-phylloxera, ungrafted vines over 120 years old, planted at almost 800 meters above sea level. Hand-harvested in 11 kg crates. Bunch selection. A fairly dry winter, followed by heat waves and a sharp temperature change in June. The summer was extremely hot and dry, resulting in small, concentrated grapes with good health.
